We are an ideal getaway for families with children, people who enjoy fishing, hunting, or anyone looking to relax in the quiet atmosphere of a small town. Watch a spectacular sunset, while listening to an artesian well tumble into the Mighty Mississippi River.
The Stoddard islands, built by the Army Core of Engineers, have created an area of the river that has resulted in excellent fishing. Spring is a great time for fishing walleye below the dam in Genoa or the spawning crappies may hit inside the marina again. Fishing for perch or pan fishing throughout the year is popular as well as bass fishing for both large and small mouth bass. Northern pike are caught year round, while fishing in the marina. Catfishing is popular throughout spring, summer and fall. Ice fishing has become a real winter time draw, with great pan fishing, bluegil, perch, crappie and northern pike being caught right inside the waters of the marina or just outside. Come fishing at Waters Edge! Waters Edge has bait and tackle for sale.
